ERT™ is a 4 mm thickness foam which is engineered to reduce effects of both rotational and linear impact. Concussions and brain trauma are normally caused by the combination of rotational acceleration from a sliding impact and linear acceleration from a direct impact. ERT™ is designed to be combined with EPS to reduce both impacts, thereby improving head protection and providing safer riding.
ERT™ is patented technology and stands for Energy Reduction Technology.
How does ERT work?
ERT works in both rotational and linear impacts. In a rotational impact, ERT's structure shifts and folds over to distribute energy, redirecting energy away from the head. In a linear impact, ERT compresses before EPS foam to absorb energy from both high and low speed impacts.
Proven Performance
ERT™ shows advanced performance in global third-party testing labs, Dynamic Research, Inc. in Los Angeles, TASS in Holland and at the University of Strasbourg. When combined with EPS, ERT™ demonstrated an 18.78-21.19% performance improvement in mitigating rotational impact and 3.22-5.46% improvements during linear impact.
ERT™ is made with a flexible and well-ventilated foam providing a comfortable fit and it helps avoid unsightly helmet hair.
