Revelyst Names Strategic Sports Sustainability Partner of the Year

Strategic Sports is honored to be named Revelyst Group’s 2024 Sustainability Partner of the Year at their recent Vendor Summit.

Revelyst, a collection of 34 premier outdoor brands including Bell Helmets, Giro, Camelbak and Fox Racing gives awards to their top suppliers across all product segments with categories including innovation, sustainability, and overall partner.

“Strategic Sports is leading the industry in sustainability, and Revelyst is learning from their effort,” Steven Kennedy, Revelyst Director of R&D, said.

Revelyst had members of their senior leadership team in attendance, including Supply Chain Leader Stephen Vidmar, Chief Supply Chain Officer Joe Beck and President of Fox Racing, Bell, Giro and Camelbak Jeff McGuane.

“We are very proud to be recognized by an industry-leading partner as important as Revelyst for our ongoing work in sustainable manufacturing processes, products and materials,” Strategic Sports Managing Director Norman Cheng said.

“At Strategic we’re doing our part in the fight against climate change, and there’s a lot of work to do for all of us,” Cheng said, “And this honor reminds us all that what’s good for the planet is also what’s good for business.”

As part of its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2028, Strategic Sports has embraced a comprehensive range of eco-friendly manufacturing practices across its global facilities. These initiatives include the use of recycled rainwater, ISO 14064 Certification, SBTi target approval, and the incorporation of regrind, recycled, and biobased materials in their product lines.

The company's Biodome™ helmets exemplify this green approach. Constructed with up to 100% recycled or sustainably sourced materials, these helmets feature injection-molded shells and EPS liners made from recycled content, water-based paints, webbing crafted from recycled water bottles, and inner pads made from bamboo fabric. In 2021, the use of Biodome™ materials led to a reduction of 75,071 kg in CO₂ emissions. This innovative technology is now available as an option for many leading brands around the globe.

And this is not the first award Strategic has received in connection to sustainability - Strategic Sports recently received a coveted German Design Award for their groundbreaking, fully-recyclable  S-427 helmet.

“We are committed to doing all we can in the fight against climate change,” Cheng said, “And even as we make progress, we know there’s much more work to do.”
