At Strategic Sports LTD, the Lunar New Year is more than just a holiday—it's a time to honor traditions, reconnect with our roots, and celebrate the collective spirit of our global team. This year, our “Opening Of the Year” ceremonies ("kai nian") in Dongguan, Huizhou, and Ho Chi Minh were vibrant reflections of these values, filled with cultural rituals and heartfelt celebrations.
Auspicious Beginnings
February 5 marked the eighth day of the Lunar New Year, an auspicious date traditionally believed to bring good fortune. It was the perfect day to start our work for the year, symbolizing growth, renewal, and prosperity across all our locations.
Honoring Traditions
Our celebrations included offerings of meats, fish, fruits, and snacks to honor our ancestors and the gods, expressing gratitude and seeking blessings for the year ahead. The air was filled with the rhythmic beats of traditional drums and the mesmerizing movements of dragon and lion dances, both believed to usher in good luck and drive away negative energies.
Reuniting Our Global Family
This year holds special significance as it marks the first time our management teams from China, Vietnam, and Portugal gathered together to celebrate the New Year. This global reunion symbolizes our unity and shared commitment, transcending borders and reinforcing the strength of our diverse workforce.
Recognizing Our Team
As of February 5, we've welcomed back 52% of our team members, with expectations to reach 100% attendance by our upcoming New Year’s Party on February 14. The celebration will feature our much-anticipated lucky drawing for prizes, (employees must be present to win). The top prize this year is truly special: an all-expenses-paid, one-week vacation within China for the winner and their family—a long and meaningful break to cherish with loved ones.
