Strategic Sports 2023 ESG Report: A Year of Growth and Progress by the Numbers

We’re making progress. In 2023, Strategic Sports achieved remarkable milestones in sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility.

We cut carbon emissions from our Chinese subsidiaries by 57.26%. We reached 100% renewable electricity usage at Huizhou Strategic Sports. Our Dongguan Strategic Sports facility achieved 100% internal recycling of wastewater from polishing and decalling processes and over the past three years, the use of Biodome materials has reduced CO emissions by 784,422.19kg.

Our long-standing commitment to quality and innovation continued in 2023 as we added five new utility model patents, bringing our total to 27 and we maintained a 100% pass rate for helmet product testing.

As Managing Director Norman Cheng often says, "People First" remains the core of our mission, guiding our efforts to optimize management, enhance operational efficiency, encourage continuous employee development and of course, prioritize long-term sustainability in all our practices. On that front, employee satisfaction soared to 86.02%, supported by robust training programs and childcare initiatives benefiting over 7,800 children.

In response to an increasingly complex global market, we expanded our global production capabilities with new facilities in Vietnam and Portugal, a strategic move to address shifting market demands. The Vietnam factory features cutting-edge technologies to enhance production efficiency and quality and is an increasingly compelling option for brands looking to address global trade complexities, while our Portugal facility strengthens our connection and responsiveness to the European market. Additionally, learning from the COVID-19 pandemic, we established new overseas business centers to fortify our global presence and adaptability.

In today's challenging and ever-evolving global market, we must stay resilient in navigating economic uncertainties while actively pursuing opportunities to deliver greater value to our customers and employees. At Strategic Sports, these efforts reflect our unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards in our operations—for our team, our clients, and absolutely, for the planet.
